Two-Way Radio / Audio retrofit for Husqvarna® Technical earmuffs (DualCom)

This service provides a professional two-way radio / audio retrofit for Husqvarna® Technical earmuffs.

Note:

  • Customers must provide two Husqvarna® Technical earmuffs. 
  • Retrofitting audio electronics voids the EN 352 PPE hearing protection certification. 
  • The earmuff manufacturer's warranty is voided.

Scope of services 1..2 

1 Main Capsule:

  • Installation of a robust, electric noise cancelling gooseneck microphone with windscreen.
  • Installation of a splash proof Push to Talk (PTT) button with a clear pressure point.
  • Installation of a loudspeaker unit.
  • Installation of an overhead connecting cable to the secondary capsule (second loudspeaker).
  • Installation of an approximately 25 cm capsule side connection cable with a Peltor compatible, robust 4-pin military jack plug (Nexus-TP-120-compatible).

2. Secondary capsule

  • Installation of an overhead connecting cable to the main capsule (second loudspeaker). 
  • Installation of a loudspeaker unit. 

This radio/audio PTT retrofit ensures universal compatibility with various radio standards.

A radio specific connection cable is included in the return shipment.

Return shipment: 

The return shipment includes:

  • The customer's retrofitted main and secondary capsules. 
  • A radio specific coiled connection cable (approximately 40 cm).
  • Instructions and CE Certificate of Conformity from Uwe Evers GmbH. 

The conversion process typically takes 4-5 business days after order approval.

If you own radio equipment and are unsure of the required connection standard, please send the radio with your order. Ensure the batteries are charged. 

We also offer a range of analog and digital PMR446/dPMR446 radios.
