Programming Service for VHF Marine Radio Systems
StarCom1 offers a customized programming service for a wide range of VHF marine radio systems. This includes, among other things, the installation of the VDES channel package, which has been legally required for commercial and recreational shipping since 2023.
This upgrade is particularly important for users in Germany, Belgium, and the Netherlands, where the VDES package is mandatory.
Please note that not every radio can be converted to the new VDES channel package. The following overview provides details on our flat rate services, as well as the respective technical boundaries and requirements.

Exclusion of Manufacturer Certification:
The programming services and associated data configurations (specifically MMSI, ATIS, and VDES) provided within the scope of this offer do not constitute manufacturer-certified services. This is an independent service provided by Uwe Evers GmbH, performed outside the official factory specifications of the respective brand manufacturers.
User Responsibility:
The verification of legally compliant use as well as adherence to national and international radio regulations is the sole responsibility of the user. This applies in particular to the accuracy of the assignment data provided by the client, as well as potential impacts on existing manufacturer warranties or statutory guarantee claims.

Right of Withdrawal for Programming Services:
The commissioned programming is a service tailored to your specific requirements (individual service). Please note that your right of withdrawal expires prematurely once the service has been fully performed. The prerequisite for this is that you expressly agreed at the time of ordering that we begin execution of the service before the expiry of the withdrawal period, and that you confirmed your knowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal upon full fulfillment of the contract.
