Radio Ocean® RO-4800 and identical marine / maritime radios - Repair of Radio Ocean® microphone leads / coiled cables

Radio Ocean® VHF radios of the RO series are without exception of excellent quality, resulting in a very long service life. This makes it all the more annoying when a complete marine radio system has to be replaced because only the microphone leads have become brittle due to age, UV radiation, temperature fluctuations and normal use. 

Uwe Evers GmbH from Aurich specialises in manufacturing new replacement assemblies that are no longer available. 

Please note: 

Please note that we are not a Radio Ocean® certified service partner. The microphone cable sent for repair will be cut as part of the refurbishment process and cannot be reused. 

  • The radio must be opened for this purpose. 

  • The new cable is fitted with the old connector assemblies of the cable/device provided by the customer, only the spiral cable segment is new. 

  • The cable repair takes approx. 4-5 working days.
