HS100aero Aviation Helmet Headset, especially for ICOM / Yaesu / Dynascan Airband Radios
This product from Uwe Evers GmbH is designed for professional aviation radios. These devices use different mechanical and electrical connection standards than standard land mobile radios (e.g., commercial or PMR446).
Therefore, headsets for aviation radio technology must have some special features, such as very careful shielding of the lead, as well as an integrated impedance converter. All these special features are taken into account in this headset.
The cable lengths of the HS100aero are kept relatively short. The leads from the flat loudspeaker, microphone, and PTT button end in a rubberized, Peltor®-compatible jack plug. This partial segment is installed in the helmet. The microphone and loudspeaker are placed inside the helmet, and the PTT button is inserted through a 14 mm through-hole in the helmet shell and screwed on from the back with a union nut. The lead to the radio is about 70 cm long.
