Icom® Adaptation to Peltor® Intercom Systems.
Wiring Harness Icom® Air IC-A6 /24 /25 to Peltor® Intercom Cable set for adapting Peltor® intercom systems to Icom® IC-A6/24/25 aviation radios. Due to the restructuring of aviation radio frequency allocation, many older radio systems based on Icom® IC-A20/A22/A3/A5 radios and older are being replaced by current models.
The older devices supported an accessory connection standard based on an Icom® land/mobile connection. This connection standard is no longer supported since the market launch of the Icom® IC-A6/24/25 aviation radios. Currently, this is referred to as (Air connection).If existing installations are to continue to be used, a more extensive adaptation is required, which necessitates a new connector shape, contact arrangement, and also an adjustment of the microphone modulation. The following cable set is aimed at users of Peltor® intercom systems of all model series.
The radio adaptation / PTT control is an integral part of the connection cable. Only the amplified audio signal from the Peltor® headset interface is "transferred" to the radio wiring harness. The radio should be understood symbolically as a "second parallel headset". This type of adaptation can be applied to "almost all" common intercom systems. Please inquire about special solutions / special cable lengths.
Scope of delivery:
- 1 piece of system base cable with Icom® ICA25 connector (cable exit to the bottom of the device)
- 1 piece of PTT button
- 1 piece of Y-distributor
Note:
The Icom® IC A-25 radio, Peltor® FMT120, and Ground Mechanics headset are NOT included in the scope of delivery!
