Audio retrofit service for Pfanner® Protos® hearing protection earmuffs. 

We offer a retrofit service to integrate an audio/microphone unit into Pfanner® Protos® hearing protection capsules.

Following this conversion, the retrofitted audio units become compatible with inline PTT buttons from various manufacturers. This service is performed by Uwe Evers GmbH in Aurich.

Customers can choose between Axcom®, Savox®, Peltor®, or a general NATO connection standard.

Note:

  • Customers must provide their Pfanner® Protos® earmuffs for the conversion.

  • Integrating audio electronics voids the EN 352 PPE hearing protection certification.

  • The earmuff manufacturer's warranty will be voided.

Scope of Services: 

  • nstallation of a robust, electric noise cancelling boomk microphone with windscreen.

  • Installation of a loudspeaker unit.

  • Installation of a capsule-side, approximately 25 cm long, coiled connection cable with Axcom®, Savox®, Peltor®, or a general NATO connection on a robust 4-pin military jack plug (Nexus-TP-120 compatible).

Return Shipment: 

The return shipment includes: 

  • The customer's retrofitted capsule with integrated audio unit and approximately 25 cm coiled connection cable.

  • Instructions and CE Certificate of Conformity from Uwe Evers GmbH. 

The retrofit process typically takes 4-5 business days after order approval by our accounting department. 

After placing your online order, we will contact you with the delivery address for your capsule. 

If you already own radios and PTT buttons and are unsure of the correct connection standard, please send them with your order.

Please ensure the batteries are fully charged.
